I've played all the Tradewinds games and Legends is a medal winner! It combines all the aspects of Tradewinds2 and Odyssey, as well as the best parts of Classic and Caravan. How? Because you first develop a fleet - and then morph into air power crossing land and sea with Dirigibles of increasing cargo and armament capacities. You can be any number of characters, then make your own. Certain things can really help you move up in rank and title - remember to seek out "the Craftsman" and "The Enchantress" at the Magic Shops, as well as certain books (don't be afraid of the prices), you will recoup your investments in fast time! I related to the plots in Odyssey (my favorite) and Tradewinds2 more easily, but Legends is at least a Silver Medalist! Again, i not only bought this game, but purchased the backup disc as well (Thank you, Gamehouse!)
